We're an American couple from Ohio who have been living in Germany for almost 10 years. We moved over here as an adventure, an opportunity to travel more, and a chance to learn the German language.

We are both super nerdy about anything science fiction and fantasy, and we also love board games and card games. We love the outdoors, and try to hike as much as possible on weekends (Liechtenstein is our current favorite hiking destination). We like talking about politics (despite the current craziness) and (of course) travel. We love meeting new people who share our interests (or not) and hearing their stories.

We welcomed our son Otto in 2023 and he is our little mini traveler! He has already been on over 30 flights and loves to meet new people.

Unfortunately with the current state of the world we feel the need to mention that we are absolutely not supporters of Trump and are horrified by what he is doing to our country and the world.

We've used Couchsurfing a lot in the past as a way to meet people while travelling and learn more about the place. It's also so different from staying at a hotel or even a hostel because it helps you feel more at home as a visitor.
