Overview
About Me
Hi! I am from a small beach town in California. I am traveling abroad for the first time and am interested in meeting locals and making connections! I graduated from my university in Classical Studies (Ancient Greek/Roman studies) and Literature. I work at a bookstore and love reading, learning and writing. I love all kinds of music but am especially fond of classic rock and metal. I am pretty trustworthy. When I am not bookselling, I am a professional babysitter, house sitter, and have cared for the elderly and lots of animals (not just cats and dogs, but also chickens, rabbits, hamsters, snakes, rats, fish, etc.) My friends would describe me as really friendly, thoughtful, funny and easy going. I am very social, but also appreciate alone time with a book or a great cup of coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people, make friends, share stories, food and a drink!
Interests
I love history, reading, studying tragedy, weird and creepy things, meditating, discussing religion, drinking lots of coffee, discussing philosophy, politics and emotions. I am interested in good conversations more than parties and prefer making connections with people more than just meeting people. But I love learning! If you have a skill or know some fun words in another language, I would love to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Metal, Classic Rock, Classical... I love all music.
I read a lot too, I work at a bookstore, so I always have something I am reading. I mostly read fiction and science fiction, but I like science and history books as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had the pleasure of taking care of a 93 year old sweetie pie! Other than going to university and traveling, it was the best experience of my life and I really learned a lot about myself, about the elderly, aging and how to live life more fully!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, language, food and drinks! I can clean very well and actually enjoy washing dishes! I love cooking for others and can teach people how to make the best Mexican food! (My dad is Mexican and taught me how to cook!)
