Overview
About Me
I am Postdoc in UC Davis. I did my PhD at Purdue University. I moved to US after my undergraduation in engineering in Kharagpur.
I am from India and I am more a cultural tourist than a scenic tourist. I am generally fun to hang out with and love learning about new culture and places, I have travelled to UK, Hong Kong and USA.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love learning about new people, their stories and culture.
This experience we dont get when staying in a hotel. Count on me for your drinks in a party :)
Interests
I love sports. I like going to vibrant places packed with people or serene nature with fewer people (both extremes). I like dancing. I do read on current affairs and learn about the places I am visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books : Digital strategy (I dont read much fiction)
Movies: Despicable me, conjuring two, Deadpool, batman series
Music: Depends on the mood (ranges from slow cold play to loud punjabi music)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got my PhD, having been on my own all my academic life (with very little mentoring/guidance).
Teach, Learn, Share
I paint and sketch. I play sports (I am good at Hockey, soccer, badminton, cricket, racketball and ok with table tennis and volleyball). I cook good Indian food. But if I am traveling, I am not sure if I have time for these. I would love to share travel stories with you. I can learn about your culture, tell you about mine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Jokes. I have been raised in a family with very funny individuals. My friends at the undergraduate, all coming from different backgrounds, added to the funny bone. I play board games. Since you are hosting, I would share and pay for your dinner as a thank you. Take me dancing at a decent place, first round on me :)
Stories, funny and embarrassing, I have a lot of both :)
