About Me

Hi
I am a 38 years old Spanish guy. I used to work as an IT programer but in 2010 I quit my job and moved to Scotland to learn English. After spending 3 lovely years in Scotland, in 2014 I travelled around India, Nepal, Thailand and Malaysia. In October 2015 I tried my luck in Iceland where I spent 11 months working and travelling. Once back at home I decided to sell my house in Spain and travell around the wolrd.
My hobbies are cooking, hiking, photography ( very amateur ) and simple things like having a beer with friends, playing cards, concerts...
I also started doing some Vippasana meditation in Thailand and India as well as some yoga, I am not very consistent in it though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some friends reccommened it to me asI have never tried. I think that my next trip is a good opportunity to try it, getting to know local people who can teach me about the place, exchanging knowledge and giving a hand if it is neccessary.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I like any type of music but tecno, electronic and that stuff
My favourite kind of music is ska, rock, power metal, punk...
Films
I haven´t seen many movies lately
I grew up in the 80s so my favourite movie must be The Goonies.
Any film of Frank Capra or Billy Wilder will be great
I like to laugh when I watch a movie so I don´t usually like very sad or dramatic movies.
Books
I read less than I would like, I reading more and more though
Pilars of Earth
Lord of the Rings
Ender Game
The hundred year old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared ( one of my favourites )
The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair ( very very good )
The Name of the Wind ( and the second part )
And more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something I am proud of is having done the GR11, which is about 800 km long path that covers the southern part of the Pyrenees from the Cantabrian sea to Cape Creus in the Mediterranean sea.
Anapurna circuit and base camp is also something I am happy to have done.
Living in Iceland for 11 months and spending the whole summer hichhiking, hiking and camping in that amazing countrie.

Visiting the Alambra in Granada dressed up like Duffman may fit is this section. Or flying to Oslo dressed up like a reindeer with black shirt, necktie and sunglasses.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied IT but it never was really for me, I havent work with computers since 2010 so I have forgotten quite of my knowledge
I can share my knowledge about cooking and information about travelling in Iceland, Scotland, India....
I would love to learn more about photography, cooking and anything which makes me happier
