About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hitching around the Baltic Sea!

ABOUT ME

I'm a twenty-four year old student from the non-Copenhagen part of Denmark (a fact which i choose to take some pride in).

That's the easy bit. Apart from that I'm an exceedingly tall person which enables me to reach stuff in high places etc. It's also a bit impractical sometimes. Also, I believe I'm a rather friendly and relaxed person. I'm not sensitive or delicate in any way and will gladly sleep almost anywhere and eat almost everything :-)
Prefers a nice pub or bar to a discotheque or a club or whatever "you kids call it these days" - I'm kind of boring that way.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask!

PHILOSOPHY

Wasn't aware I was supposed to have one of those :-( I'll think about it!
Edit: I'm really excited about whatever comes out of Svend Brinkmann (who'll probably be familiar to most Danish-speakers).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not that much yet, but I intend to!

As part of moving to a new town (Roskilde) and a new university I'm sort of between homes at the time of writing which is why I literally do not have a place to host travelers in, but as soon as I get that sorted out it is definitely my plan to start hosting.

My experience is that traveling becomes something entirely different in the company of a "native". I hope to be able to do that more as well help others to the same experience if I can.

My somewhat naive, romantic-leftist idea is that in a NON-commercial community like this you'll naturally meet more genuine and interesting (and quirky/strange) people than you otherwise would (since all the douchie ones will naturally avoid it). And I really appreciate that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm rather new to CS though I've surfed two times and hosted one time.

Interests

I really enjoy riding my bike. Also I really appreciate food, (craft) beer and music (especially live music). If any of those things can be combined with traveling - either by hitching or more conventional means - that would be the best!

I have a big interest in almost any topic within subjects like politics, sociology, history, economics, geography, culture (philosophy) and the like.

Also I'm really interested in the situation in Palestine/Israel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Fight Club.

I like a lot of different rock music as well as jazz, blues, folk, gypsy music and other things

I really enjoy reading books and magazines about the above subjects :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I realised a few years back that hitch hiking is a real travel-alternative and that people are not nearly as paranoid and xenophobic as they are sometimes made out to be!

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
