Hey there,
my name is Astraea, and I love meeting people! After I was almost through with college, I was influenced...you could probably blame the Beats...to go Experience the World, instead of reading about it, or writing about what I'd only read. So here I am, 4? years later- time slips when you're enjoying it- and loving every minute. I went to New Mexico with some college friends to a farm owned by my Yogi's parents, and fell in love. This was what I needed. Adventure. Experiences. Learning. Hiking and farm work and writing on my manual typewriter, oh, my! This doo-Dad I'm on is a Very new development , but still learning :)
I enjoy the time I get to learn from others, and the information they have to offer, just by being alive. Hope to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, usually I just hitch, but my partner and I have been in Oregon for a while, and are taking separate journeys to visit family before meeting up in Colorado, and hitching through Kansas can take a while, especially longer with no one to share views, or waits, or the ups and downs of Adventure!
also, my family thought it would be safer, even though, let me tell ya, I'm a strong being! :)

writing, hiking, hitching, farm work, learning just about anything: Kundalini yoga, new languages, gardening, stitching, fixing things, building things,...etc! I play ukulele, well I'm learning, ha ha, and love to being in music circles around fires, backpacking journeys, climbing things...trees, mountains, rocks, rooftops...writing-art-music "parties" - since I don't throw parties, but if you like woods and expression I think we can get along!
smoker friendly, animal friendly, kid friendly, open across the board for race, gender, size, shape, brain power, and other things I didn't know people discriminate against, lol.
