About Me

CURRENT MISSION To be happy and content wherever I am, to feel at home ánd a traveller, and keep expanding my horizon, and that of others.... ABOUT ME I am very easy with all living creatures around me, not afraid to live or die, and I had my share of life and traveling of which I am gratefull... it made me the happy, peacefull and content person I am today. Experiencing other countries and cultures is one of best lessons in life, in my humble opinion, so I encourage everyone to do so. There is so much to learn and discover! Sharing thoughts with travelers I've allways liked, so why not do that at home as well? I welcom you travelers!! PHILOSOPHY Be gratefull! Do good, and good will find you :) Be yourself, be awake, or just Be! ** Life is the only thing worth living for ** Don't critize your neighbour until you have walked a mile in his moccasins.... Live and let live... Love the Four Agreements! Take nothing for granted, appreciate the good things en change what you don't like or accept what you can not change... People often suffer the most, through their fear for suffering

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have tried and used it on rare occasions, mainly in africa, but I really like the concept, so now I want to open my house for strangers on the road, seeking for a short stop at a place of peace and comfort, while exploring their world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After one try-out in my own country, I also stayed with great couchsurfing hosts in South Africa and Namibia. Thereafter I was willing ánd able to offer my couch (or a room!) to others from all over the world. And did so on occasions.

Interests

Music and reading, gardening, enjoying nature, seeing and being in other countries and cultures. Oh and I just love the sun! And as a kind of handy woman I also like to create and fix things. Since recent years I am also interested in learning about spirituality, Buddhism and other forms of wisdom in all it's colourfull forms! I am not religious, but I do like a good discussion and to learn more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Plenty good movies, so much good books, and incredibly much good music 😃

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, gave my home to my daughter and bought a ticket to Cape Town! I travelled around in Africa for 6 months, somehow got to the beautifull Rockies in Canada after that, did it all on my own and started all over from scratch here back home in Holland with such a happy heart that I am still smiling today, some years later 😊

Teach, Learn, Share

All of that and more.... one of the benefits of growing older 😎

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Life as it is in the moment, my house and hospitality, traveling stories yay! And some fun, my music, my limited wisdom and experiences beyond....
