I am a 31 year young PhD graduate 🎓 who has decided to travel the length and breadth of India on my cycle 🚴, to document the journey of meeting a vast array of people. In my journey, I intend to understand the characteristic features of the people of this nation 🇮🇳 and categorize them based on their demographics, age, profession, gender, traditions, and cultural differences.📋

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my PhD, I worked on the biophysical and biochemical aspects of proteins, acquiring in-depth knowledge on the ‘small - micro scale’ aspects of existence. The spiritual journey lasted 7 years long over which I figured out my newfound interest in human psychology, especially the beauty of individuality 🧑‍🦱

I want to use the cognitive skills acquired along with the cycling experience I gained over the last 7 years, to study the traits and uniqueness of individualities in this diverse nation 👳🧕🧑‍🎨🧑‍🎤🧑‍🚀

This occurred to me in my life and I live by these lines.
(Individual = justifications + validations + materialism + complaints). 🧑‍🦱

I will ask people I meet in the journey the above questions to generate a low-resolution image of their ‘individuality’. I will finally average out the same across the population of the different demographics/cultures of the country👳🧕🧑‍🎨🧑‍🎤🧑‍🚀

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Of all the adventures I have set out on, the one that far exceeds every other is a cycling event I did in February 2020. The event was a 1200 Km cycle ride from Bangalore to Goa and back which was a race against time and had to be completed in 90 hours time period. I ended up completing the ride in 89 hours and 49 minutes. 🚴
