Overview
About Me
I am from the United States, virginia specifically. I have travelled a lot and now am staying out in the VA area, however my career allows me to travel occasionally. I enjoy getting to know people one on one or in small groups because it is more personal and easier to express oneself. I am a very active person, I love to help others, I enjoy both relaxing on my own with a good book or meeting up with people to enjoy thought provoking conversations. I am vegetarian and don't smoke nor drink, but I love smoothies;) my drink of choice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To host and to travel to meet ppl. Escpecually through Brazilian jiu-jitsu
Interests
My number one passion is Brazilian jiu-jitsu. For me, it is a way of life. I have been able to train in NZ, and will continue to seek out gyms along My travels. Other than training, I like to write, read, and practice yoga. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new ways of life, living simply, tramping, and anything adventurous. I also love animals. I'd like to ride a horse, since I haven't for years. I love both the mountains and beaches, both offering a unique ambiance given by Mother Nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love various genres in books. Anything by Vince Flynn, Paulo coelho, and Phillips Gregory, though I have recently been less into the latter and more into memoirs and spiritual books. My favorite books are "Half the Sky" by Nicholas kristoff, "mountains beyond mountains" by Paul Farmer, "The China Study", "and the mountains echoed" by Khaled Hosseini.
