About Me

Dancing the life, it's all about that!

Please read my profile before asking for being hosted. I receive many template requests from people who don't bother to know a bit about me. I won't answer to impersonal messages 🙂.

As I am working late, I won't be able to spend much time with you during the weeks and will however be happy to show you around during the week-ends!

Also, if the calendar shows that you can't make a request for a night, it means that I am not able to host you for some reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC...rhythmed my life 🎶

I am very influenced by my surrounding so when I came back from Costa Rica I couldn't stop listening to spanish music, from salsa to reggaeton !

When I was younger I sometimes felt sad because I was thinking that I was born in the wrong century. I was and am still listening to a lot of old (and less old) rock (indie, new wave/pop/folk, etc) music like Paul Simon, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Modern Lovers, Billy Joel, Beach House, La femme, The Lumineers, Ezra Furman...

Well, if you see my Spotify you will understand that my types of music are pretty...eclectic. And I love it! Latino, rock, down tempo, trance, world music (especially african and indian/nepalese songs), reggae,...and maaaaany others according to my mood and the country I am. :)

MOVIES 🎥
Comedy, documentary, fiction, fantastic, action and of course animated films.
The Lion King, Inside Out, Into the wild, Wild, Pulp Fiction, Footloose, Grease, Yes Man, The secret life of Walter Mitty, Harry Potter, Eat, Pray, Love.

I love movies and musicals which make you think and bring you feelings and emotions.
I might be in for a movie night and I'm waiting for your recommendations!

BOOKS 📚
I started reading again recently. I was not a big reader because I wasn´t taking the time for but I am doing some progress! So many books are waiting to be read in my bookshelf!

Some books I loved and have in mind :

🇯🇵 Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Golden (an amazing research work made by the author about the Japan of the previous century, the atmosphere of the book gives the reader a real travel in the time and in the space)
🐊 The Yellow Eyes of the Crocodiles - Katherine Pancol (first book from a trilogy, I love all the details Katherine's put in her way of writing and Josephine, the main character is just so sensible)
🧘‍♀️Peace is every step - Thich Nhat Hanh (a wonderful book, truly inspiring and giving tools for life, zen Buddhism)
🌱The power of restraint/Vers la sobriété heureuse - Pierre Rabhi (French author, preceptor of the agroecology talking about moderation and why it is a way to get out of the current consumerist system destroying our planet, relationships and more).
🕰️Bel Ami - Guy de Maupassant (a guy using women to climb the social scales in the Paris of the 19th century)
🐆The old man who read love stories - Luís Sepulveda (a small book reuniting topics I love : animal, old people, love, tolerance and ecology, happening in the tropical forest)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would randomly say "being alive".

However, I recently (july 2019) spent a month in a buddhist center in Myanmar (Burma) with two nuns, learning about Dhamma (Buddha's teaching) through books and circle talks and about meditation. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to experience this and it definetely has impacted me in various way. 🧘‍♀️

Teach, Learn, Share

I learnt that we have one life and am still learning to live every moment in the present moment, not to judge, evolve constently, uplift my mind and my thoughts. Things that no one teach you in school but that are probably the most important things in LIFE.

I don't really play music even though I really need to find time for learning how to play. Well...I'm learning guitar by myself lately!
I am in for some knitting, instruments (guitar, flute, drum,...), dance, paint, bolas or whatever lessons! 😁 I think that everything we learn make us someone better.

I love dancing, I dance with my heart even if I still need to learn some paths. If you are a salsa person and if we can share some time during the week end : let's go danciiiiing!

🤗 To check if you read my profile... Put the word "hummus" in your message!

A sentence I love :
"You've spent an infinity years not being born yet and you will spend another infinity years being dead
Finish your cereals and go outside"

What I Can Share with Hosts
