About Me

I’m Ausi from Tanzania, a researcher, educator, and cultural and behavioral strategist. I work at Tanzania Public Service College and the Tanzania Institute of Project Management, where I help people understand how emotions, identity, and culture shape the way we live and work. I’m currently pursuing a PhD on the emotional and cultural codes behind public service behavior in Tanzania.
Beyond academia, I run HRUNLOCK Africa, a movement that uses psychology and design to help people and institutions reinvent themselves. I’m passionate about deep conversations, authenticity, and the kind of human connection that leaves a mark.
At my core, I’m someone who loves people, their stories, their meaning, their inner worlds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because I believe in real, human connection. I prefer meeting people through their everyday life, how they think, cook, laugh, dream, rather than through hotels or tourism.
Every host is a window into the emotional code of a place. I travel to listen, to share, and to understand the world through the eyes of the people who live it.
Whether you’re a thinker, creator, traveler, or someone who simply enjoys genuine conversation, I’d love to connect.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love ideas and stories that decode human life. I read Joseph Campbell, Rapaille, Cialdini, Robert Greene, Viktor Frankl, Jonah Berger, and thinkers who explore meaning and identity.

I enjoy Empire and Mad men

Musically, I move between hip hop, Amapiano, reggae, electronic, and Bongo Fleva, anything with energy and truth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Founding HRUNLOCK Africa a movement that helps people reconnect with their inner power and transform their lives through emotional intelligence and cultural insight.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: How culture shapes behavior, how emotions drive performance, and how identity transforms leadership.

Learn: How different cultures create meaning and how people see themselves in their stories.

Share: Insightful conversations, Tanzanian life lessons, and honest reflections about inner growth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I carry a real, lived story of mental health, healing, and reinvention — a journey that shaped my emotional depth and the way I connect with people. I know Tanzania deeply and can help you experience it far beyond tourism.

I have access to Pachikonjo Beach Resort, a peaceful oceanside place owned by a family member. It’s perfect for small groups of up to 10 people who want a quiet, raw, and beautiful experience of Tanzania, completely free. I can also help you find affordable, beautiful places to stay around Dar es Salaam if you ever visit.

My home is small for now, but I’m planning to create two rooms for visitors soon. Even as it is, I’m always open to hosting travelers with tents and sharing simple, honest Tanzanian hospitality.

What I offer is not luxury, it’s connection, culture, and a home you can feel.
