using travel (mainly in india) to identify and facilitate project actions that bring support, relief, funds, resources etc to needy folk that I meet as friends but who some would call charity cases -

ABOUT ME

It's a long story - basically I'm a friendly aging hippy and musician, who seeks to help where I can and do no harm to others.

PHILOSOPHY

as you sow, so shall you reap - even tho it's in the Bible - it's still true! Peace in the heart and mind is the beginning of discovery ... easy to ,say not easy to achieve - the secret is to accept what is, to transcend good and bad and happy/sad, up/down and discover and make valuable use of the miracle of existence with the ability to give and share all life, hope, time, energy etc

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't need accommodation - actually I prefer to simply rent a room usually - BUT travel for me is not about seeing buildings, temples, bridges, even mountains - though I do love natural scenery - but the greatest part of travel is people, all types all kinds, all races and cultures - so diverse and all so full of love and hope and friendship and above all culture and interesting things to share. That is why I am on CS - sure I have stayed in one or two places on 'the couch' but the best part is/was the social and personal interactions - food and fun together is the best part - I can hire a room any day ... can;t always meet face to face with people of the places I visit. That is real tourism - meeting people of the land where one goes, and feeling their culture and welcoming friendship.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an interesting person with a broad knowledge and range of interests and skills and social conscience to go with it - I am a musician and singer (sort of retired but still play nicely if a guitar or mandolin etc is to be found). I have an interesting story to tell and I make people laugh.
