Overview
About Me
We’re a small, active family from Moldova — I’m Aygun, a clinical pharmacist and a mom who believes that health, kindness, and curiosity make every journey better.
My husband Alexey is a triathlon coach and tech-coordinator, and our two little explorers, Alisa (5) and Alex (3), are the heart of every trip.
We travel not to collect places, but to meet people — to share stories, laughter, and real-life moments.
We love the sea & mountains, outdoor adventures, and cultural exchange.
Our dream is to prove to our kids that this world is beautiful and to find hosts who enjoy sincere connection — maybe families with kids who would love to play together on the beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love meeting kind, open-hearted people who see travel as more than just hotels and sightseeing. For us, Couchsurfing is about human connection — sharing meals, stories, and everyday life with locals who make a place truly special.
As a family, we enjoy staying with hosts who welcome kids, love culture, and don’t mind a bit of laughter (and sometimes a few toys on the floor 😄). Our children are curious, gentle, and love learning new words and games from friends around the world.
We’d be happy to help around the house, cook a healthy dinner, share travel stories from Moldova, and bring a bit of warmth and friendship wherever we go.
This November, we’ll be exploring Ayia Napa, Limassol, and Paphos, hoping to find hosts who want to share a cup of tea, some local tips, and maybe a sunset walk by the sea together. 🌊
Interests
I’m a pharmacist who’s endlessly curious about people, science, and how the world works — but I’m also a dreamer who can’t stay still for too long.
I love traveling, the sea, good music, deep talks, and spontaneous adventures (the “crazy but safe” ones 😉).
My husband is the tech and triathlon soul of our family — he’s into IT, sports, and endurance challenges, while I’m more into healthy living, reading, storytelling, and meaningful connections.
Together, we try to balance science and laughter, sport and slow mornings, adventures and memorable family time.
And whenever we travel, we love discovering how people live — not just where they live. 🌍💛
We’re also building a little family start-up called Empation.com https://empation.com/
— a project born from our kids’ curiosity and our wish to connect generations through stories.
Every trip we take brings new inspiration and ideas for Empation — how to help families around the world read, learn, and grow closer together. 🌍💛

Music, Movies, and Books
Our home is always filled with music — sometimes calm, sometimes wild, always alive.
Our daughter Alisa is learning to play the piano, and my husband and I have both just started to play the guitar, so our evenings often turn into small family concerts 🎵
We love world music, and we sing together during road trips or lazy mornings. Our playlist is extremely diverse.
The kids adore The Frozen and Moana soundtracks — and honestly, so do we 😄
We enjoy movies that make you feel alive and portray people as real, empathetic humans, as well as thoughtful documentaries about individuals and the planet.
As for books — we love stories that connect hearts and minds, both fantasy and motivational or learning books, and bedtime favorites like kids’ rhymes — they’re simply the best. 📚✨
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve created two amazing kids — just a couple of years apart — together with the most perfectly fitted dad for them. 💫
That’s my proudest and most heartwarming adventure so far! ❤️
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
We can share what we know about healthy living, evidence-based pharmacy, and sports training (especially triathlon and kids’ fitness).
I love talking about nutrition, family health, and mindful parenting, and my husband can teach anything tech-related — from fixing a laptop to organizing a smart home setup.
And our kids? They can teach you how to laugh for no reason and find joy in every tiny thing. 😊
Learn:
We’d love to learn more about local traditions, languages, and everyday life in Cyprus — how families there live, cook, and celebrate.
I’m also curious about Mediterranean herbs and home remedies, and my husband is always learning new cycling routes and endurance techniques.
Share:
We’d love to share homemade food, stories, laughter, and music — with our small family jam sessions (piano and guitars 🎶).
And if you have kids, we’ll happily organize little creative games or reading moments together — we’re growing our own kid-startup Empation.com based on connecting generations through stories. 💛

What I Can Share with Hosts
We believe that every family we visit carries its own story — and we love becoming a small part of it.
We can share good company, laughter, stories, and family warmth.
We are always happy to help with small things around the house or share some tech or health tips if needed.
We bring our music wherever we go and lots of good energy 🎶
If you have kids, our two curious little ones will instantly become friends — we can organize a few creative activities or bedtime story moments inspired also by our project Empation.com
More than anything, we share gratitude and respect — for the space, for your time, and for the chance to make a human connection. 💛
