About Me

Bordering on nerdy. 5 foot 10 inches. Introspective. Enjoy being with company as long as I can decide when I have had enough with no offence to anyone. I have been known to get lost wandering around a new city on foot (though almost "froze" once in Amsterdam :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Curiosity - just heard about it from a friend today. And who knows, I might end up in some interesting places particularly in the US, or around the world (though I don't see much travelling outside North America in my immediate future) but "never say never." I have couchsurfed four times (Indianapolis, Fargo, and Atlanta).

Music, Movies, and Books

I will watch any movie of any genre with a good story-line. Any music that sounds good though I can be partial to the 80s - 60s. I am almost always reading nowadays (adventure, magic, crime, etc) and I do most of my reading on my phone (ebook format). I love animes that are very detailed or with emotional story lines. I guess I have a love of colors even though I am quite conservative in what I will put on (tending towards blue and black). I could easily spend a whole day in a museum. I like to stare at paintings, and imagine myself in the place or time depicted.
I have watched a ton of movies and would probably says yes to a 1,000 diverse titles but for some reason right now “The sisterhood of the traveling pants” and “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” comes to mind and I am not even sure I have watched the latter :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gone down "The Leap of Faith" (water slide) at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai. And probably broke something in the changing room afterwards when I had one of those cartoon-type legs-up-in-the-air slip from water dripping on the floor :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I.T. related I am your man. I am a good listener I might have been a priest in an alternate reality as even people I barely know feel comfortable telling me stuff and I never feel the unresistible urge to tell others. I could teach you Yoruba.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am in my own place in Lehi, UT. Might get some paying housemates for a couple of rooms. If so, the bed might be in the sitting room, otherwise a private room while the rooms are still empty:)
