If you can't travel full-time, accepting CS guests is like having 'travel' in your own place for us. We never had any bad experience with hosting, all the people were really great. I think I extended my knowledge of other cultures more, than by traveling before to those countries. It's amazing, how long talks with strangers at first make you kind of a discoverer and path breaker eventually. I wasn't really active for few years but now can host and show around town and out of town have a car meet for drink coffee juice be your tour guide adviser and psychic - we needed - "All in once couchsurfing".
