About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I can't travel as much as I want to, but I'd love to be able to meet new people from different walks of life. We live in such a beautiful part of Canada, I'd be honored to show it off to the world.

ABOUT ME

My name is Brad and I'm a 29 year old paramedic in Bracebridge (Muskoka), Ontario, Canada. I have been here for 10 years and love it!!! I live with my girlfriend Kate who is an ambulance dispatcher. Together we have 2 dogs, Moose (St. Bernard x Golden retriever) and Juice (Jack Russle). We live on a quiet lake just north of Bracebridge in a cozy little cottage house. We are quite social and often host parties. We are both easy going and love to have a good time and meet new people from interesting cultures/countries.

PHILOSOPHY

I have several philosophies:

1) I treat all my clients/patients in the ambulance as if they're my own family members.
2) I do at least one nice thing for someone every singe day.
3) Even if it kills me, I will always be optimistic and look for the silver lining in every situation, regardless how bad it is.
4) I believe in a karma point plus/minus system. If for whatever reason I had karma points taken away, I must restore the balance somehow by earning points.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to this and have not yet had an experience. Kind of nervous. Looking forward to positively updating this section!

Interests

In my spare time I really enjoy taking advantage of everything Muskoka has to offer. Having 2 energetic dogs, I am out running with them on the endless trails around here. I also enjoy hiking, camping, mountain biking, rock climbing, and geocashing. On a nice night, we love having friends over for BBQ's and bon fires.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Love them all.

Music: It depends on the mood. I love live accoustic music by the fire and Hard rock/punk when I'm out for a run. I'm easy.

Books: Avid reader of James Rollins. Favorite book was the 'Book of Negros'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing moment of my life was packing through Peru and Climbing up Waynu Picchu to get a mind blowing view of Machu Picchu. Changed my life instantly. Another amazing moment was motorcycling across the Dominican Republic and accidently discovering a untouched, deserted beach with noone to be see for several kilometers in either diretion. Very zen moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach and share people from all over the world about the best place in Ontario to live: Muskoka. I can provide a true Canadian experience.
