Overview
About Me
I'm a uni student solo travelling across Europe for the first time. I haven't done that much travelling before now so this is quite daunting but I'm having a great time!
I never really know what to put in these kind of boxes, but feel free to ask any questions about me:)
P.S. sorry I'm not verified, I've just gotten the app the other day and I cannot afford to pay for verification right now (why do you have to pay for it??? seems rather counterintuitive)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm interrailing for the first time and initially had all my places to stay sorted and planned out. Now a couple of them have fallen through (no travel plan ever survives contact with reality 🤷) and a friend recommended this app to see if I can find an alternative!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I have quite a wide range of songs on my playlist, but my favourites are indie rock songs. My favourite artists are Nothing But Thieves, The Killers, Raleigh Ritchie, Harry Styles, and Maneskin
Books - Since coming to university I honestly don't get much time or energy to read anything non academic, but I'll read a few a year. Just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray which my Oscar Wilde obsessed friend would never stop bugging me to read haha
Movies - I'm a massive film fan (I'm even the president of my university's film society), and my taste in film is also pretty broad. My favourites include In Bruges, Baby Driver, Seven, Into the Spider-Verse, Star Wars, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and Parasite
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not sure if this has to be travel related but recently I directed my first play which was attended (and loved!) by Belgian royalty:)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm willing to learn about literally anything. I have been told I very much have the mind of a student, and learning about as many possible things as possible is such a joy to me.
In terms of teaching, I don't know what I would feel qualified to teach but I have quite a lot of knowledge on all the interests I listed and I always love to just passionately rant about something interesting and to have an interested ear to listen to me would be lovely:)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very respectful and tidy as a guest (it's how I was raised). Will always make sure we each explicitly establish firm boundaries which will never be crossed, will always ask before using anything of yours, and will always tidy up after myself.
Beyond that practical element, I like to think I can offer engaging and interesting conversation about anything. I love just having deep and complex conversations with anyone but especially strangers because I like the possibility of hearing new perspectives:)
