ABOUT ME

Hey guys, I am Balaji. An Indian living in Cologne, Germany. I was living in Groningen, Netherlands for the last two years. I am an astronomer, so I love to spend all my clear skies by staring at the stars. So for surfers, if you also enjoy gazing at the night sky, you are most welcome to join me. I also love to cook, especially Indian food. So if you like spicy food, you are in for a treat ;). I also enjoy playing my bongos most of my free afternoons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined couchsurfing. However, I have been to a few meetings and met some surfers. I also participate in other couch surfing events and parties. I love going to the Choldwig Eck bar on sunday nights where another couch surfing friend of mine is the bar tender ;).

Books: any non fiction book. I am not against fiction, but its not my cup of tea ;).
All Carl Sagan books (cosmos, dragons of eden, pale blue dot,...), six thinking hats, Descartes' bones...

Music: mostly blues and folk. A big fan of Dublin legends and Rat Pack

Movies: I enjoy all genres.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some techniques of star gazing and astrophotography ;). I can also teach you whatever I know in Indian cuisine (especially the food of the south :D). I would love to learn to cook other cuisines. I can eat almost anything (including beef being Indian :D). Also I would love to learn some Spanish, German and Italian ;)
