About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Let´s make a quiet mess out of this world.

ABOUT ME

In high school, my wonderful english teacher, a pure nobleman from a mighty and mysterious Welsh family, used to give me essays of 300 words every week about various subjects. As time went by, I found out that I actually liked to write anything in english, and instead of following blindly the instructions I started describing my imaginary self who had studied of ikebana at the top of mount Fuji or telling how cubic guitars had dominated the world.
In this way I hope you understand how difficult it is for me to try and stay serious while writing about myself now. Plus I don't have a clue about what I am actually supposed to write... filling in forms is the kind of things I am still learning, not being a full-time adult. I am quite young and my absent-mindedness doesn't help me much learning how to act like an adult does. Or else, well, I think I know somehow what I am supposed to do or to say in some situations. I know the adult's way is to act as if everything was ordinary, even in the weirdest situations. Most people my age are already into this. But I am stubborn. I don't say much, I don't show my emotions a lot, still I think as powerfully as I can "This is incredible!"on every opportunity. Isn't it fascinating to gaze at the rain? How come we humans are able to discover what is beyond our galaxy?!
Have you ever noticed how fun is a young cat's look when it plays outside in spring? How the cat seems totally agape and curious and playful at the same time? I want the same sparkle in my eyes. I want the world to be a crazy thing.

PHILOSOPHY

Be as simple as you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everyone is the main character of a story. I love stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used Couchsurfing during a one-month trip in Ireland and found it an astonishingly great way to travel!

Interests

My ability to be interested in anything is so flexible, unpredictable and fleeting that it is, in itself, interesting. Not to boast.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Imaginaerium of Dr Parnassus left me a strong impression, and I get much inspiration from Miyazaki's works. Can read most anything but a preference for authors like Pratchett, Buzzati or Asimov.
Music? Well, rock, country, romantic composers, rap, jazz... you see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recall an epic picture of an aikido lesson, an autumn evening when we were practicing with swords while there was a storm. The doors of the dojo were wide open, showing the rain pouring in the darkness outside, a lightning tearing up the sky sometimes. And apart from water and thunder, a complete silence, no one speaking, everyone concentrating on his blade's moves. I felt immensely peaceful and powerful. Not much of a travel, but one of my best memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning! This is an endless source of pleasure to me. So I would be pleased to learn anything. And as I am continually learning, I may also be able to teach some things. If you are interested in music, languages, painting... or how have a funny afternoon in Paris, for example.
