About Me

Hello there! I'm a university student at Istanbul University and I study English language and literature. I want to explore this vast world, learn about countless cultures, make lots of friends from all over the world and learn Japanese thus hopefully work in Japan someday. As you can understand from my ''interests'' section I'm interested in volleyball, martial arts, Japanese, English and so on. As much as I'm interested in learning something about other cultures I'm also fond of teaching about my own culture and my native langauge. I'm looking forward to meeting with every single one of you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because it simply is a great opportunity plus it is easier to contact with people, it is safe and a few of my friends recommended couchsurfing to me. Especially the ability to view other people's profiles if they have references or not is a great feature, it makes couchsurfing even more reliable in my opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite type of music really depends on my mood so I can't say anything specific but I generally enjoy rock music or metal music and sometimes even army anthems. When it comes to films I prefer science-fiction, action, and post-appocalyptic films. Finally when it comes to books, I really enjoyed ''The Time Machine'' by H.G. Wells and also ''Animal Farm'' by George Orwell. These books critisize many concepts; for example in ''The Time Machine'' colonialism, Victorian societies' mindset and our perception against what a human is and many other things were being critisized. In ''Animal Farm'', I might even get into trouble by saying something wrong hahahahaa but overall, seat of power and obedience without questioning are among the things which are being critisized.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once defeated my existential crisis.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my friendship, my culture, my language, Turkish alcohol, Turkish desserts... Basically things about Turkey.
