CURRENT MISSION To travel the world and help others do the same. ABOUT ME I'm a graduate student at MIT studying chemistry. PHILOSOPHY I want to experience everything I can while I have the opportunity. I am a thinker, I always have an opinion on something, even when I don't jump right in to a discussion. I have my opinions, naturally you have yours. Nothing says they have to be the same for me to like you, so don't be shy!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am usually available to host someone here at my apartment and try to go to CS meetups when I'm able. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE 2007 Strasbourg Xmas Market meetup for 2 nights. This was a total blast, and was also my first CS experience. 2007-2008 hosted various people in Germany. 2008-2009 hosted a few people back home in Boise. 2009-2010 Somehow I have never CSed in the US. That needs to change!
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: 20th century German literature. Hesse, Brecht, Dürrenmatt, and many others. Music: Ratatat, Mogwai, Blonde Redhead, Caribou, and many, many others. Generally speaking in terms of genres: post rock and electronic music.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Making friends from all over the world while living in Germany. The warmth and kindness extended to me was simply amazing. Seeing the alps of Switzerland and Austria absolutely blew me away. There were days on which I hiked for hours and hours, got to the top of a mountain, and then just sat there to soak in the beautiful view from the top. After hiking down, I didn't feel like I had been hiking all day- the mountains simply give me so much energy!

My Interests
Right now the interest that takes up most of my time is chemistry! But, when I'm not doing that, I love photography, mountains, photographing mountains, music, culture, languages, foods, rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding and traveling! Naturally many more as well, but those are some of the biggies.
