I like to think I am an easy-going, adventurous, good-natured and open-minded type of person. I enjoy traveling to new places, learning and trying new things, watching live music, curling up with a good book, binge watching a TV series every now and again, road tripping, and relaxing with friends. Any of those things with or without a drink in my hand.

I want to meet new people around the world. I love experiencing different cultures, new foods, beautiful scenery, history, architecture, and the like. While couchsurfing may be more financially economical, it provides so much more than that. Meeting people, discovering new ideas and cultures, and learning about a place from a local's point of view is simply invaluable.

Couchsuring.com is hardly the place for me to mention my "amazing" experiences. Touring Israel and sailing the Virgin Islands may be just another pin on the hat for some, but I count myself very fortunate to have had those opportunities available to me. I am also pleased that I have created some opportunities of my own and on my own, be it traveling to new states inside the U.S. or relocating to new cities/states site unseen.
