CURRENT MISSION Find joy in simple pleasures. Expand my horizons, be a good steward to the earth, and serve my community ABOUT ME Married for 33 years to Ronnie, we have two wonderful kids, a son, 28 and daughter, 41 (from Ronnie's previous marriage). I grew up in Worcester, MA, and spent many years in the Boston area. Have lived all my live in New England, except for 8 months in Guatemala when I graduated college. My first real job was at an ESL school, where I was constantly meeting people from all over the world, and I still miss that (the people, not the job!)after 30 years, especially because NH is so homogeneous. I'm an accountant by profession and a do-gooder at heart - a bleeding heart liberal who would love to change the world, if only it were possible. Very much into healthy living and eating. Ronnie is a retired middle school math teacher. He served in the Peace Corps in Iran and spent a total of 3 years there in the late 60's/early 70's. PHILOSOPHY I feel strongly about quality of life - better to do (and earn)less and enjoy life than to do (and earn) more and have a stressful life. It's important to have compassion for those less fortunate, and to be a good steward to the earth.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Would love to welcome people to this small corner of New Hampshire, and show you why we love it so. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We have only had a few experiences, but all have been wonderful. Looking forward to more.
Music, Movies, and Books
Musical taste - classical, some jazz, bluegrass, music from around the world, any singing with tight harmonies. Movies - foreign films, independent films, psychological thrillers. We are Netflix junkies. Books - novels with women as main characters. Love books by Joanne Trollope, Jodi Picoult, but have to confess I don't read much anymore, I'm so addicted to knitting. . . so now it's audio books only.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Attended an abortion rights march in Washington, DC with my mother and 750,000 other people. It was incredibly awe-inspiring.
My Interests
Cooking, baking, walking, crossword puzzles, knitting. Nothing makes me happier than spending an evening with good friends, good food, and good conversation. Spend a lot of time surfing on the web, especially at the NY Times, and knitting websites.
