Overview
About Me
I am an open-minded travel enthusiast that has a curious personality and positive outlook on the world.
My interests include sports, fitness, music and of course, travel! When at home between my travel journeys, I work for an advertising agency, whilst also working as a disability support worker on weekends - this is another passion of mine.
My commitment to work and saving has given me opportunities to see many parts of the world. Study tours have taken me to China, India and Japan. Family based in the UK has provided plenty of reason to explore other parts of Europe. But my most fulfilling and transformative trip was my most recent 4 month stint in South America. This trip in particular has changed the way I feel about travel and has certainly ignited my desires to continue to explore other cultures.
The future is bright and I am always looking forward to my next adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Many, many backpackers I have met through my travels have talked about Couchsurfing. Reluctant at first, I soon began to consider this network as something to explore for myself. I believe the opportunity to meet locals gives a travel experience that is very hard to find when moving from hostel to hostel, living with other foreigners/backpackers. I look forward to building relationships with people from various countries & cities and having the chance to learn about their culture, while also teaching them about mine.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite genre of music is techno and house....not the cheesy, radio pop stuff. The proper European underground sound. I do enjoy a wide range of genres, especially classic rock and pop anthems from the 70s, 80s and 90s. I also listen to rap music from time to time.
Favourite movies include Shawshank Redemption (obviously!), Lost in Translation, Alien, The Dark Knight, Reservoir Dogs and the Shining (just to name a few). I am also a big horror fan - The Exorcist is my number #1 horror classic and Hereditary is my favourite modern horror film.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling to the Sacred Valley of Cusco to drink the ancient shamanic medicine ayahuasca.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to be able to help people with their English and I hope to take away some valuable communication skills from whatever host I stay with. I am also excited from the chance to be able to cook healthy food with my host and share plently of meals and drinks with them!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Travel stories and tips, terrible jokes, help with English, reading recommendations, fitness and nutritional advice, Australian slang lessons and plenty of banter!
