Recently left job in pastry/cakes to travel and do a bit of soul searching.

I take very quickly to anything hands-on and crafty, but tend to start too many projects than I can possibly finish (currently itching to start pottery as a hobby). I prefer trains to cars, and walking to trains. I am also a big fan of theme parks.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a mix of everything. When I was studying Spanish as a teenager, I got into a lot of Shakira music, so I’d say she is the artist I’m most familiar with. Otherwise I enjoy music from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Caroline Polachek, Rina Sawayama, but can enjoy just about any genre.

I don’t watch anywhere near enough films or read enough books. One of my goals recently is to watch the classics that I’ve never bothered sitting down to appreciate…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started an English conversation club with a friend whilst living in the north of Japan. I helped members of the local community practice English in a casual and friendly environment. Unfortunately, Covid meant we had to cancel the event after just one year :-(

I speak pretty good Japanese and Spanish, and was an English teacher/tutor for 5 years. Also a proficient baker 🧑🏼‍🍳
