I'd like to think I'm good company. I'm generally easy going and I've got a sense of humor. I enjoy engaging new people and activities , but at a certain point in the day I like to be able to retreat in to some kind of solitude, as it helps me recharge my batteries for the next day. I like gold panning, carpentry, working on cars, and watching DIY videos. I like getting outdoors but ironically I spend 40 hours a week in-doors under florescent lighting, go figure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to enroll in a vocational program in Astoria, Oregon. The program is 10 weeks and the tuition doesn't cover lodging. I have budgeted for fuel and food but wouldn't mind saving when and where possible. I have stayed in a tent before and will do what is necessary to get through this program, but couchsurfing seems like an interesting alternative and possibly a more comfortable one! Just trying my luck with this service, if you would like I would be happy to share a skype session and have a chat and see if it might be a good fit!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music . I used to make hip hop instrumentals and play guitar. I don't watch cable programming but I enjoy a good movie. Books.....If I don't read them out loud I wake up with my face on the page. I like reading but don't do it as often as I should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With replacing a radiator as my only prior experience, I did a head gasket job on my own for my 99 Tiburon, which is a dual overhead cam interference engine. If the timing is wrong you will bend a valve. Got it right the first time. It was amazing.
