About Me
Hey, I'm Ben!
I started adult life as a lawyer and economist, but became more interested in finance as time went on. That turned out to be a great decision, since it gave me the financial freedom to do what I want.
I like to say I'm retired, but that's not exactly true. I still teach evening English Language classes, and run my own small lawn mowing business (in warmer months).
On days I'm not occupied with one of these, I usually work on some project around the home or relax in my spa and work on new connections.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make new connections with people who share the same interests and values.
Interests
I'm interested in most things active. I love skiing, and have done so in about 10 countries. I cycle daily, and work out and swim most weeks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list. Lately I've been reading Ayn Rand's work, and it says a lot that I thought but couldn't put into words.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Achieved financial independence at 34.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think life is a process of constantly trying to learn, adapt, and improve yourself, your environment and the people you interact with. Some people are fascinated by nature, politics or fashion- I'm fascinated by people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to be able to share my interests and talents and connect in a meaningful way.
