Hi I'm ben and I'm new to backpacking. I just barely started my first adventure traveling across southeast asia and I can already tell that for me this is only the beginning of a lifetime of travel. Theres no place out there that I wouldnt travel to or explore at somepoint and Im fascinated with experiencing different cultures and ways of life than Im used to. Generally I always try my best to be friendly and outgoing but deep down I'm a shy person and you may sometimes notice that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people from all over the world and think this is a great way to connect with locals wherever I happen to be. I think it's great to be able to talk to people with a different background and learn about their culture and share stories.

Interests

I pretty much just love being outside no matter how hot, cold, or rainy it is. I'm an avid hiker willing to tackle any mountain out there, and I love being in water even though I'm a terrible swimmer haha. But my two favorite things on this planet are sunrises and sunsets. I've watched thousands of them and never become any less amazed or excited whenever I watch those soft golden rays of light turn the whole sky into a masterpiece. Lastly I'm big into the nightlife/party scene and am always looking for a new place to hangout at night.

I love all types of music and can appreciate anything that someone put time and heart into, no matter what style or genre it happened to take form in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm just barely starting to explore this planet and am working on this part but so far I've hiked through the grand canyon and had my breath taken away by the most beautiful surreal scenery I've yet to take in.
