About Me

I love being creative- playing guitar, making movies (just as a hobby), writing stories or cheesy poetry. Where I live now, I spend a lot of time by the river, just enjoying nature.

Currently I'm an Assistant English Teacher in Hokkaido, Japan. Will soon moving back to Canada, though. I love teaching English because it makes me think about my own language more. And I enjoy comparing English to other languages, such as Japanese (which I'm STILL learning).

I can be introverted at times, but if I'm in "travel mode," I just want to meet people and talk about all sorts of things. Give me a guitar and I tend to be two or three times more outgoing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make connections with people around the world. I want to know more about how other people live and communicate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I like the bands no-one's heard of. All sorts of Indie music. I don't really pay attention to what's popular, but something with a good beat to dance to in the day or some nice instrumental guitar to fall asleep at night are my favorites.

Movies- YesMan, She's the Man, Martin Lawrence movies, Will Ferrell movies, a bit of Bollywood, and most movies that are really (stupid) funny!

Books- anything that provides useful information. Books on fitness. Books on how to budget and invest. Books that help us improve our life in one way or another.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked from my town to the highest elevated lake in Hokkaido- 26 km. It's actually a town event, so I wasn't the only one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, songs, food (snacks), whatever else comes up.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, United States
