CURRENT MISSION
Backpacking the world.
ABOUT ME
My name is Benjamin Chait and I recently left my job to backpack the world; ping me @benjaminchait or via email and let’s grab coffee?
PHILOSOPHY
Live well and look forward! Someone once said: "I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next." That's what I aim to do with my travels and next adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Completely new to couchsurfing.
Interests
I love stories; I'm an avid reader and aspiring writer. Meanwhile, I do my best to capture moments with my camera. Having been raised in Boulder, Colorado, I have a love of nature and exploring the outdoors whether by foot, bike or on skis. Through work I have an interest in technology and connecting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is the worst question to ask an English major. I'll give three books: "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera and anything by Kazuo Ishiguro.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This past fall I left my job of more than six years to backpack the world; not with spite or resentment but in genuine curiosity of what else exists beyond my tiny perspective of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spent years working with technology. Meanwhile, I have a degree in English while also studying mathematics. Hopefully useful skills exist from those?
Truthfully, I hope to learn more about beliefs and cultures; whether politics or new sights and experiences.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
