ABOUT ME

My passport is my favorite possesion. I was born an anthropologist. I did not realize it until i first left North America. Returning the first time I realized how that experience moved me and gave me more than anything else ever would have.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to teach English abroad. I volunteer at an English as a second language group.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My flatmate Boris in Prague, Czech Republic was the consummate couchsurfing host. When driving across the U.S. with two friends, we used couchsurfing in Nashville, Tennessee and in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I hosted people last summer and this summer. I've hung out with Couch Surfers in town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2006 I met Bill Clinton in Arkansas while driving across country. It was at a campaign rally for mid-term elections. He gave a 55-minute speech.

I said, "I just saw Bill Clinton in concert!! In his home state!"

It was seeing him do his thing: a campaigner, a politician, a speaker ...but seeing him do it as a local!

That was anthropologically amazing.
