About Me
Since I spent my whole life living in Vienna, it happened that I decided to move to Taiwan, where some parts of my family lives. As I was ask to join a friend of mine to accompany her on her trip in Southeast Asia, I joined her to my very own surprise. There will be a time, where we will go our seperate ways, so I thought it would be very fitting, if I tried to couchsurf again and meet some lovely people.
I guess, I am easy-going, maybe a little careful too. I like to lay back and just observe situations before I act or interact or just stay quiet :)
I feel somehow very connected to the ocean, but not in a way that I essentially need to be in it all the time. Also I like to spend time surrounded by nature, hiking in the mountains (which I really should do more often) or just be in quiet places and enjoy the view.
Hui. Anything else? Just ask me, I might be very happy to tell you more about me, if I know, what you want to know :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I tend to often isolate myself, which is not really a bad thing for me, but since they`re so many different and versatile people out there, I am very curious to get a glimpse of all that and get to know the whole beauty of leaving my own comfort-zone and actually realize that a lot of people share the same views and beliefs or even disbeliefs. But I am not necessarily looking for agreement, I find the opposite very inspiring too.
So what I am really trying to say is that I like the concept of meeting new people in different countries, which are all connected by the wonderful idea of couchsurfing :)
I only couchsurfed twiced and both times it where in germanspeaking coutries, so I am very excited to try it somewhere else!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is always changing, but through the years I kept listening to:
Placebo
Tegan & Sara
Wes Borland
Oh. Movies. I seldomly watch movies, but I remember that I used to watch "Garden State" every now and then, when I felt lost. Haha. And i watched "Lost" too, the TV-Show. And once upon a time there was a South-Korean movie called "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK". That one really impressed me.
It`s hard to be limited by books, but here some authors I cannot get enough of:
Günter Grass
Charles Bukowski
Thomas Bernhard
etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I play in a little band and we did a little tour in Taiwan last year. That was a extremly wonderful experience, because I have the feeling that people there work a lot and rarely find time to relax a little. So it was very overwhelming to see that a lot of people came to our concerts and gifted us with their very restricted presence. And the atmosphere was addictive, it felt so nice to share melodies and harmonies with those, who usually just turn on the radio and listen to whatever is playing. That might be the most recent amazing thing I can think of.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook a little, I can teach German, I probably could teach a little Englisch too. I think, I am still able to knit and sew, so that I could teach too. Or a few chords on the guitar for sure. Or if you want to learn to play Bach on the piano, I still remember how to play Prelude and Fugue in C minor of Bachs Well-Tempered Clavier. I guess, I am getting to specific here.
I would love to learn to write Mandarin. And how to forget the world around me. Like being so focused on something that you just forget the rest of the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Oho. I`ve been told that I am a good listener. I am good at organizing things (I blame my zodiac sign for that: Virgo), if that helps in any way. Or if anything comes up in everyday life, I am happy to help out!
I can tell stories. I also like to listen to stories, but thats another story.
