About Me

ABOUT ME

Open minded and enthusiastic!

I am very easy going and love to meet people and discover different point of views.

Working to become a skipper at the moment and commited to enjoying all of the qualification process.

I love sailing, scuba diving and free diving, hiking, climbing, slack lining, meeting with friends, have a laugh, travelling... I love comedian shows and love to share about these movies/spectacles and get some of the best jokes out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it offers great opportunities for creating mutuallistic relation that bring people together.

I want to learn from other experiences and knowledge and love to share mine too!

Interests

At the moment I try to learn a maximum about sailing. That includes navigation skills (including natural navigation with stars, wind, swell, etc...), boat maintenance, the world of leisure sailing, etc.

I love the outdoors and sharing time with good people!

I also love to share about sustainable ways of living, finding out different models of alternative life that involves using local resources and skills and minimizing carbon footprint. I used to work in NGOs that "managed" marine protected areas as well and love to share ideas about those.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love funk, jazz, reggae, manouche jazz... As a bass player, anything that grooves will make me happy!

I am part of the Big Blue generation (probably part of why I became a marine biologist) but I also love Delicatessen and all Jean Pierre Jeunet's films (the city of lost kids, etc.); The Big Lebowski is another favorite of mine along with Dikkenek and many others!

One of the greatest books I read was Shantaram and really like Jack London books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossing the Atlantic on a sail boat!

Teach, Learn, Share

A s a marine biologist I have a good understanding of natural systems and processes that take place in the ocean. I use to train people to dive and conduct environmental surveys in the Philippines and got to know a lot about tropical reefs during that time. I am very interested in nature as a whole! Huge topic!!!

I am happy to share the sailing and navigation skills that I have and keep on learning about those. I believe in staying a student of life. There's so much to learn!!! But in general I like to share about life experiences and philosophies!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the good vibes, jokes, knowledge and stories of life.

I am also happy to help with anything inside the house and daily housekeeping activities, cooking, dishwashing, etc...
