Overview
About Me
Work full time in education but always curious to learn more about people and the world. I have three dogs who live with an ex-partner and occasionally visit. A softcore vegan, if that means anything. Religious only in the manner of the prophets, who believed everything that lives is holy. Kindness, compassion, honesty, and an enquiring mind are what matters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the curiosity, learning new things about the world, meeting new people, sharing.
Interests
Generally interested in stupid humour, irony, creative mischief, museums, long walks, hills, the ridiculous in all things, animals especially non-human ones, bookshops, old buildings, history, architecture, antiques, old things, decorative arts, philosophy, music, films, pubs, beer especially stout, wine, travel tales, reading, having fun, writing and occasionally watching and playing sport.
I drink too much coffee so am currently exploring the cosiness of tea. I enjoy cooking in a mad way, whereby one week it will be soaking beans, the next making jam, and the next concocting Moroccan feasts. I enjoy walking everywhere, including into cemeteries and always take the longest and more interesting route.
