About Me

Curious since I could walk, I find joy in listening, learning and discovering new things-- new cities, towns and countries are the best landscape for all this! With these qualities I could not be anything other than a journalist. I love hearing stories and understanding different realities, cultures and societies through different eyes and stories. I also love to share everything I have learnt, from stories from my hometown to traditional recipes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My mother (Teresa ) first told to my brother (Magí ) and I about CouchSurfing about 10 years ago, and we started hosting surfers at our flat in Lleida (you can read some references on her profile). It was such an enriching experience that when my brother and I grew up, we joined the CS community. In the summer of 2017, Magí and I went on an Interrail trip to the Balcans where we learned a lot, met some great people and made good friends thanks to CS. After a few years, I can say that I am a CS and that all the experiences lived through this have shaped me the way I am.

Interests

My curiosity has a wide range, from international politics, to culture. My main hooby is basketball: since I was 11 years old I've playing basketball, and I'm a basketball coach too. I'm interested in most of the social science and other knowledge.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all kinds of music, but my favorites are basically Catalan music. About movies: I love comedy movies (the good ones) and I like these movies where you learn something.
Because of my degrees (journalism and political science) I have had to read a lot of political and theory books, but I also enjoy fiction and non-fiction historical novels suchs as Zweig's The World Of Yesterday; Hernán Díaz's Trust or Carlos Ruiz Zafón's tetralogy El Cementerio de los Libros Olvidados (The Cemetery of the Forgotten Books).

Teach, Learn, Share

As I wrote above, I can share everything I know: going from history to traditional Catalan recipes. But I am definitely a better learner than teacher. Knowledge is richer when it is shared, they say!
I have a great desire to learn from everyone about everything, I love listening and debating so I can learn much more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All my vital experience, some great time, have fun while sharing a couple of coffees, teas or whatever you want to drink. I can also cook typical catalan food (if you're ready for it ;).
