About Me

I grew up in a beautiful small village in the countryside in Bavaria, Germany.
After I finished my bachelor degree in physics at the University of Würzburg, I came to Albuquerque to start grad school as an exchange student.
Now that my program is finished I try to see as much of this wonderful country as possible.

Against the common prejudice about Germans I am neither rude nor do I need meat in every meal, but at least I am tall :)
I am very relaxed and easy to get along with, always excited to meet new people and learn to curse in foreign languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel the midwestern part of the US this summer and hope for a memorable time, new friends and lots of adventures.

I have never tried couchsurfing so far, but really like the idea.
Meeting locals is always exciting, not only to get advice what to do in the area, but also to see how people live in different areas and to hear the stories they tell.

Interests

Sports, especially soccer and working out, freeletics, nature, camping, cooking (mostly vegan)
Always interested in new cultures and different views on the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rise Against, Foo Fighters, AC/DC are my favorites, but I also listen to a wide range of other genres, such as Reggae, Indie or electronic music as long as it sounds good.

Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Iron Man, Vikings, but I am not the biggest TV person.

Harry Potter and Eragon where my favorite books when I grew up, I started getting into scandinavian crime novels over the last years.
In general Fantasy and well written Science Fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked 65 miles in one day

Teach, Learn, Share

I like playing card games, so I can teach some German ones and hopefully learn more American ones.

Of course I can teach some German, but be warned, it is really hard.
Maybe some German habits and expressions are easier to follow, such as how to serve a real beer ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories and jokes, my time of course and if you are interested in how the world works I am very excited to talk about that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
