We are Berta and Sabela, two friends in our mid-twenties who love traveling and exploring. We lived in Australia for a few years and have completely fallen in love with Asia.

We are super adaptable and love meeting new people, experiencing new adventures, and immersing ourselves in different cultures. Japan has always been our dream destination, and now we are here, eager to experience it to the fullest!

We are respectful, clean, and organized, and we truly enjoy deep conversations and learning about other ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe Couchsurfing is the most authentic way to travel—getting to know the people who actually live in a place and seeing the real, non-touristy side of the country.

Whenever we travel, we aim to do it ethically, embracing local culture and people as much as possible. Meeting new friends and sharing experiences is what makes every trip truly special.

Interests

We are passionate about sports and the outdoors! We love running, swimming, playing tennis, Pilates, football, surfing, hiking, mountain and water sports. Nature is a big part of our travels—we enjoy hiking, road trips, and discovering new landscapes.

We also love animals, music, and books. Traveling is our biggest passion, and we’re always looking for meaningful experiences along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Berta has swum with sharks in the Maldives and road-tripped across New Zealand in a van.
Sabela has slept in the Sumatran jungle with orangutans and skied in the mountains of Norway.

We have also gone skydiving, love scuba diving, and are always up for the next adventure!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love sharing great conversations and exchanging travel experiences! We can give advice on backpacking, ethical traveling, and hidden gems around the world. Also, we’d be happy to share insights about Spanish culture and traditions.
