About Me

I'm a student at UNC-Chapel Hill in North Carolina studying German and Political Science. I've traveled a decent bit in (mostly Western) Europe and lived in Germany at two different points in my life. Until I can get citizenship, I'll make do with couch-surfing there every now and then.

Non-binary and queer as all hell. It's a fun time.

I love learning languages, and I'd add another to the list of languages I'm learning but CS doesn't recognize it. Cherokee is still alive and kicking, and I'm doing my best to learn it.

I draw and make art when I can, I sometimes enjoy talking about politics, but besides that I'm a pretty chill person. Grab a drink with me if you can, you'll find out quick that I'm a fun person to be intoxicated with. Beyond that you'll have to see what I'm actually like in person or messages, but I'm an open book so it shouldn't be a problem to ask. =)

I'm in my last year of college, at least as an undergrad, so we'll see what happens to me once I'm free of academia. I'm thinking of WWOOFing for a little bit and I feel very strongly about it, so talk to me about organic communal farming and you'll get an excited response from me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think you can learn a lot about a city or a country from seeing how people actually live in them. Travel has never been about buying trinkets or taking selfies at famous landmarks for me (it's chill if that's what you do though, no judgment). I'd much rather hang out with locals at their favorite bar or see their favorite places in the city. It's also nice to have a place to sleep that doesn't cost a fortune, so thanks guys for opening your homes to random travelers and spending time with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is Rhyd Wildermuth's "A Kindness of Ravens." It's lit, love me some gay pagan poetry.

Currently into queer/femme/folk punk. You can't go wrong with some good ol' fashioned queer rage.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Idunno, I've been to lots of places and hung out with cool people, I can tell you a few stories and see if you agree that they're amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always tell you what it's like where I'm from and what various American phrases actually mean (I'm from the south so be prepared).

Hopefully I can learn a recipe or two for your favorite dishes, and I could always use help with my German.

Sharing stories and experiences is always fun, and usually an easy thing to share. But a good bottle of wine is always an option if that's more your style.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Open to requests, if I'm travelling and you want something from a city I was just in (Belgian Chocolate, Badisch Wine, a Berliner...spray paint bottle? What's typical Berlin?) or I could cook something yummy for you.

Oh how could I forget, I could also read your tarot. I have a (very pretty) deck of cards, let's do this.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
