CURRENT MISSION
To learn as much as possible from as many people and places as possible
ABOUT ME
I recently started what appears to be an at-this-point-in-my-life dream job, working for an organization that researches and responds to humanitarian crises around the world. I'm a human rights activist, but I find that it's much harder to define what that means the more I travel and learn about others' perspective on human rights, activism, and the role the U.S. plays in international affairs. I fell in love with journalism and am certain it will be a lifelong passion because it allows me to ask as many questions as I can think of and meet people I probably wouldn't otherwise.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the idea of having a human connection to a new city or country. Traveling to some place and leaving without any lasting human connection is a very sad and lonely thought to me. While my current housing situation does not allow for hosting couch surfers, I am excited about the possibility of showing people around Boston and giving advice for some of the excellent restaurants around town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am in love with CouchSurfing. I LOVE CouchSurfing. It has revolutionized how I travel. So far, I've had the pleasure of staying with four different hosts while in South Africa and was devastated when I left all of them. I feel like I made new friends in the short time I stayed with them. CS people are some of the most open, generous, caring, welcoming, wonderful people I've met.
