CURRENT MISSION Going here and there, to see what I can see, doing this and that ABOUT ME I am in the arts all my life, creative and healing arts. Both have come naturally. I love nothing more than music and words, poetry, film, and installation art...anything creative...i adore cartoons they crack me up.. oxoxo charlie chaplin...my favorite films are The Burmese Harp, To kill A Mocking Bird and The Circus..ASHES AND SNOW....I like off beat, and cutting edge, but truly appreciate all forms of art. I am pretty much a buddhist in nature, and take the teachings to heart. Also native american teachings, Vedic and the Tao. Though I don't like labels. I truly get a long with most people. I LOVE AND I MEAN LOVE...HUMOR AND LAUGHTER......to me it the end all, having a good laugh with friends and family. I find the older I get the more important it is to find balance in the mind and life. I teach this anyway as a meditation instructor. And have fun....some folks just don't know how to play and have fun anymore...... I am single, but a content person. Not at all opposed to having a healthy relationship . I just love sitting with folks to hear their stories...unless that are self absorbed and talk and talk without coming up for air. I am a very considerate, kind and caring and sensitive person. However, I do not let folks walk all over me. I am very honest and trustworthy. I do try to speak my mind and be up front with folks. I think it works better that way. I hope one day to travel to the arctic, make it to thailand, to work with the abandoned elephants at a certain refuge camp, sit in meditation with my monk friend in tibet, follow the buddha's footsteps in india, where he was born, taught and died. I also want to get right up close to whales at the Baja Mexico.. And do a complete drive of all the United States, and write about it....Oh, and I just love border collies... They just make me laugh and feel so happy when I see and connect with them....i suppose I will get one, one day... xoxoxo PHILOSOPHY Be kind and laugh. just be nice.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am very very new to this, just signed up so I have to give this one some thought....However, I can shed some light on the history of the "couch" The couch was invented in 1895 by jay Wellington Couch. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Couch COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have a lot of experience sleeping on couches. Over the years traveling as a musician.... I have slept on a variety couches. Some comfortable and some sucked...I even slept on a love seat.that was shorter than me...art came first!...Now there is an official site for sleeping on couches..and it is the thing to do...Rock on!

One Amazing Thing I've Done
oh my, I was nominated as New Yorker of the week for the extensive healing work I did with members of the FDNY because of 9/11. To this day I cannot believe it all happened, it seems so long ago. I was completely accepted and welcomed by these men. They allowed me in as one of their own behind firehouse doors and at ground zero. This was normally unheard of. I witnessed first hand who they were and what they went though. Firefighter's are the definition of selfless. It was a great honor. I will never in my life time forget them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I would love nothing more to teach meditation to anyone.i meet traveling..to have a balanced and aware mind in the present moment= peace and happiness, in the true sense. Share my music, cup of coffee, a cool front porch or deck to sit on and relax....i can even show you around if timing is right in nyc...i lived there for 25 years....
My Interests
oh, I think I mentioned some of my interests up yonder in the "All about you" section....okay then...Exploring.... I am interested in border collies, elephants, whales, birds, the civil war and the 1800's...quantum physics, and things of an esoteric, spiritual and metaphysical nature. I am a huge film buff and interested in making more film.... i used to collect pez's...i guess i out grew that one....
