About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to see the world like it really is! Commercial travel isn't my style and I like to see how other people live!
ABOUT ME
A little bit about myself...well I'm originally from South Dakota. I had a prime opportunity to move to the great state of Alaska for school and when I completed the internship, I decided to stay! I'm all for adventure and meeting new people!
PHILOSOPHY
No one is as lucky as we are. I feel like everything that happens to us happens for a reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had the chance to couch surf yet because I've only just graduated college but I have had some interesting times meeting new people and staying in unconventional places!
Interests
I've really become an outdoor enthusiast and love a challenge. I'm up for trying new things and getting my taste of what the world has to offer.
- traveling
- knitting
- outdoor activities
- backpacking
- teaching
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much anything that I can understand. For movies, I'm kind of all over the board there too. Books...hmmm always loved Stephen King, my sister's books, and pretty much anything else that has a good plot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think my biggest moment is moving to Alaska. I moved here with two suitcases and a backpack. When I arrived on Christmas eve, I stayed in a hostel for a few days, bought a car off craigslist, drove to the peninsula, found a place to live and started the next chapter in my story. Sometimes things just fall into place where they are suppose to.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've never thought of myself as a teacher, so thinking of a particular skill I could teach is a challenge. I know I'm good at listening and whether my advice is sound is up to the listener. My knitting skills are confined to scarves so if there's anyone that can make sweater making easier I'm all ears! I want to learn anything and everything that people have to offer (beyond knitting is also acceptable :))
