About Me

I find it hard to describe myself in just a couple of sentences. Well, I am just an open-minded, easy-going Person, enjoying my life, traveling as much as possible, meeting new people and learning something new. I learn everything the hard way. The best thing I consider about me is that I accept everybody the way he/she is...but the worst is that I expect others to accept me the way I am. I drink and smoke (occasionally) but not when the person hosting me or staying with me is not comfortable. And I am fitness conscious.. contradicting, is it? I do a lot of sports. I am not built but fit for the sports I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling. CS has been my haven for most of my unplanned trips. I still have a lot of cities to visit in my Bucket-list. I love to taste diverse cultures, meeting new people from all walks of life, I like the excitement of meeting unknown people while traveling. I believe that travel can open up many insights n both enrich and transform your life. It gives you the opportunity to examine your conscience, to force yourself in the mirror. True travel is, therefore, a journey of self-discovery.
The more alien the culture is, the bigger the questions that you discover about yourself and your own culture.

Huh, breath! Been a very long time since I wrote a paragraph like this!

Interests

Basketball, Badminton, HIIT, Meeting new people, Drinking and Partying!
I do not restrict my interest to just the aforementioned. I am a Master of updating 'major' happenings around the world. The most challenging thing I ever experienced is to make an 'introvert' speak up!

Music, Movies, and Books

My selection of music is not limited to just a few popular genres. I listen to instrumentals, opera, concert, and songs those sound good even if I don't understand the language.

Primal Fear, Fight club, Shutter Island, Inception, A Beautiful Mind, Schindler's List, The Game, Vanilla Sky, Source Code, The Imitation Game, Triangle, Coherence, The Jacket, Her, The Man from Earth and a lot more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attempt to climb Mount Kanchenjunga. Climbed till first Base camp, fell ill, climbed down a couple of days later (Disastrous :-( ). But dear Europeans, this base camp is around 5200 metres from sea level, just saying.

Chose to move to Germany and live a life I desired. It may sound childish but having grown up in my parents' shadow for around 20 years, it was adventurous and exciting to start a life all by myself in a new place with no knowledge of German.

Stood naked in the open deck of a cruise ship for 3 minutes since I lost a bet. Good thing: I was shit drunk. Bad thing: I had to face other comrades for the rest of the trip :-(

Got lost in Calanques near Marseille. Never listened to local's advice to not trek in the afternoon. Met a Kazhakh guy, spent time speaking shit and realized that we were lost in a place with absolutely no light (apart from moon light), no mobile signal/offline maps, no one to ask the way back. Still made it after 3 hours of walk!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play basketball if you are really interested to sweat out.
I like to learn languages, artworks, musical instruments (which I am really bad at!) and people's insights about various topics.
I am not open-book. I have some secrets as well. But like to share my life and travel experiences which may benefit you in some way!

Countries I’ve Visited
