Hey guys :) I'm Bianca, 24 years old from Berlin and looking forward to great travel adventures. I'm studying social work, spending all my money on good food and concert tickets. I'm interested in history, current politics ,social/environmental issues. Therefore I like interesting discussions about topics like social or climate justice,but that doesn't mean that I'm a serious person all the time. I love dancing, partying, going to karaoke bars or just hanging out with friends.
I'm an open-minded, tolerante woman, so for me it is really important to be around with open,queerfriendly and anti-racist people.
At first I'm a little shy, but I open up to a person pretty soon 😉
Although I like to hang out with people etc. I also need time on my own, so don't mind if I claim a little privacy occasionally :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of traveling and meeting new people at once. My travel habits dramatically changed a couple of years ago. Since then I'm not that interested in the typical touristical ways of traveling anymore. Therefore I want to get a real impression of the life, thoughts, troubles and people of every country I'm in. I think that Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to experience this kind of traveling.
Unfortunately it is not possible for me to host couchsurfers, but I'm sure that this will change after I move into another flat ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music plays a big role in my everyday life. My favourite band is Florence + the Machine (Florence Welch is just a goddess 😜).In general I prefer music that is not played on the radio(apart from Lady Gaga and Lorde).
My favourite artists are: Florence Welch, Robyn, Janelle Monáe,M.I.A.,Eliza,Lorde,Lana del Rey,Aurora, Santigold, Y'akoto, BOY, Seeed, the xx,Kimbra,Shura, Haim, Marina and the Diamonds,CHVRCHES,Beatsteaks.

Due to the fact that I'm fascinated of history and historical figures I love to read (auto-)biographies, but also the so-called 'classics of literature'.
In terms of movies I watch almost every genre, but my favourite ones are: Vicky Christina Barcelona, What We Do in the Shadows, Love actually,Inglourious Basterds,Les Misérables..
Recently I binged quite a lot of tv shows like Shameless, Transparent, Sense8, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, This Is Us, Modern Family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel to Moscow by train with a stop at the border of Belarus where women sold delicious pastries to the travelers in the middle of the night :)
Cried at a Florence+the machine - concert because I was just touched by their live performance
