Books - Language & History are the two themes you find in my collection. Midnight's Children (Rushdie) and Grapes of Wrath (Steinbeck) are two of my favorite fiction.

Backpacking for 2 weeks in Chile (Torres del Paine National Park)- highlight was reaching the "los torres" - for those who have been here, they know what we are talking about

Drive on the Gaspe Peninsula in Eastern Canada - one of the prettiest drives, most unvisited (and let's keep it that way) :-)

Death Valley in the USA for the most surreal experience of a lifetime

Visiting Cambodia and realizing how one can find happiness in poverty
