Overview
About Me
I am a traveler,
A young professional,
A music lover,
A believer in community,
One who loves to laugh,
One who lives in the moment,
An honest critic,
An eternal optimist,
A true friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel often for my businesses, and am getting tired of seeing the endless hotel/airfare/meals/transportation bills rack up on my credit card, and paying them off each month. I feel it is irresponsible to be spending what I am when there are so many willingly accommodating people on CS who would be happy to host me. In addition to my pain point, I really enjoy meeting new people, and learning their personal stories. I am an extrovert, and natural connector, so using CS naturally makes sense to me. I am happy to take you to dinner or cook if time allows. I'll probably recommend some music in the background and have been known to crack a joke or two.
Interests
I've found that my interests, as do many peoples', have changed, and continue to change. At present, I am very interested in business and strategic partnerships aligning with my glide path of sustainability in agriculture and cultivation. I work in the hemp industry, and am very interested in seeing a true industry born in America- returning cultivation, manufacturing, and production jobs to this country.

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up a musician, and have a love for most music and artists I listen to, but to name a few (in no particular order): Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, The Weekend, Mumford & Sons, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Adele, Pentatonix, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, Trending pop music, whatever else happens to be on my Spotify.
I don't spend much time, and haven't for years, watching TV or movies, but of the ones I can recall, I enjoyed (again, in no particular order): Hitch, Fox & the Hound, The Lord of the Rings, Inside Out (and pretty much anything Pixar puts out), American Sniper.
I read a lot about cultivation, business, and technology now, and a couple of my favorite books are "Good to Great" and "Life Entrepreneur". One “life book” I would recommend as a must-read is “Many Lives Many Masters” by Dr. Brian Weiss.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Many of my great life experiences have stemmed from involvement, in one sense or another, in community, and I've been fortunate enough to be involved with many "amazing things" that have benefited others around me. The One Amazing Thing I'll share, however, is not even closely related to this lol. I was 15, snowmobiling in Michigan in excess of 100mph (I'm a bit of a speed junkie), and jumped a 70' ditch (inadvertently). I landed on the other bank, but not without shattering my right ankle and right wrist, and breaking my left ankle and arm, breaking four ribs, puncturing a lung, and contusing my heart. That was a painful day!
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach sustainable community in every imaginable interpretation of the phrase. In business, our sustainability practices are steeped in food production, education, and collaboration all while considering the environment and making a minimal impact. I also teach communication, indirectly. I find myself asking strategic questions in conversation with others to help open their minds to different ways to communicate- both verbally and nonverbally.
I love to learn and gain knowledge from those who have gone before me and done things I have not yet done, or see myself doing. I find great value in the experience of others, whether communicated through story and conversation or through text.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bahamas, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain
