To enjoy our retirement years by roving the earth, working in the garden, making good furniture and spending quality time with the grandkids.

ABOUT US

Most important is that there are two of us.
Our old profile name was Bill_Betty and we are still Bill and Betty. even though couchsurfing only lists Bill's name.

Secondly, during the last few years we have geared down our traveling, because we acquired a winter home in Arizona. So, far we are not hosting in Arizona. That may come later. We will continue to host guests in Minnesota from May through August.

Bill likes working with wood, and puttering in the garden.
Betty reads more than Bill. She love to listen to political podcasts. She is learning to knit and likes to make yogurt.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have attended several CS gatherings.
We have a great couch. Unfortunately we live in a city where few care to visit. Too bad, because it is a great place to visit.
We look for couches when we travel and have had many wonderful experiences meeting great people in interesting places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From time to time we have enjoyed the hospitality of strangers, friends-of-friends, distant relatives and people we have met along the way. Those couches were in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.
We used CS to find accommodations in Malaysia, France, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and the USA.
We hosted travelers from Denmark, Germany, Norway, Brazil and other parts of the USA

Interests

Cooking, meeting people, reading, current affairs, woodworking, gardening and travel to the ends of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There have been so many amazing things. Bill always like to tell the story of running into a friend we had made in Argentina. But we did not bump into each other in her home country of Finland. No, we happened to step back into each others life one day in western China. Go figure!
