About Me
ABOUT ME
I love experiencing new things and meeting new people. Learning about other cultures or other people is one of my passions. I would say that I believe myself to be an intellectual, a generous and kind person, always trying to better myself in multiple aspects, a lover of life, a risk taker, and physically active. I love to enjoy each moment as it comes, there is beauty in the smallest of moments which is often easier to appreciate when traveling.
I love rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, anything to get outside!
PHILOSOPHY
Of course, like most everyone's this is always changing. I can't really say I have come upon a certain philosophy in life, however I do know that I want to live my life with passion and love for all around me. Upholding human rights for all. Helping those around me in a capacity that will benefit them, even with little things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My experiences on Couchsurfing have been overwhelmingly positive and ridiculously fun and interesting. I always end up doing something I normally wouldn't and experiencing a place from a different perspective.
Interests
There is a term for people who have so many interests... which I think I am one of. I love make things, knitting, cooking, baking, sewing, woodwork, or watercolors.
I love to move: climbing, backpacking, soccer, volleyball, yoga, running, skiing, and just plain old hard work. I really enjoy physical activity that comes with a bit of suffering, whether that is freezing conditions, awful blisters, mental blocks.
I love learning new languages, each has a beauty that is unique, and I believe it is the best way to connect to a culture and a person.
I love talking with new people who open up right away.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is an unfair question.
I am a bit biased towards the classics but I love guilty pleasures, whether that is in music, movies or books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My sister and I hiked the John Muir Trail in the High Sierras. One beautiful moment from the 3 week thru hike: waking up at 4am to climb a 12,000 ft pass the sun touching the peaks around us and then climbing an off-trail 14er. Every time I get on top of one I tend to cry and get extremely emotional. Nothing like some altitude to get you going. :)
