About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live the life of love and adventure that I know God created me for and to share Christ primarily by trying to treat people the way he treated them.

ABOUT ME

I love God and so I love people...those two are one in the same for me. I am often quite and thoughtful, I make an effort to make people feel at home, I am a runner, hiker, mountain biker, and rock climber. I'm a nalgene toting, granola munching, slackline cruising, bad spanish speaking, fire and blade juggling, endlessly energetic human being.

PHILOSOPHY

I have found a new life and a deep hope in Jesus Christ. I don't know everything about my faith and asking questions and examining why I believe what I believe is very important to me. I am a prideful human being. But I am not so prideful to believe that I no longer have anything to learn. We all have something to share with each other as humans. Being a student doesn't end after not is it limited to the institutes of high school or college...it is a lifelong process and the kinds of teachers are endless.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none so far.

Interests

The outdoors. My friends. My best friends including Pynecone and River. Running. Reading the bible in it's origional language and trying to understand it for myself instead of relying on a preacher's interpretation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like action and comedy the most I think. Favorite stories include His Dark Materials, Chronicals of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Count of Monte Cristo...etc. I am enthusiastic about starting the Twilight series from the way Pyne talks about them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked to the summit of Chirripó in Cost Rica last week...it was the most beatiful place I have ever seen. It is a challenging hike but well worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pura Vida: Pura Vida is a phrase they use in costa rica and it means everything is all right. Literally translated "pure life" it is the tican (native CR) verson of Hakuna-matata. The whole country seemed to be infected by this good disease. They use that phrase for everything: a greeting, and answer to the question "how are you?", as a phrase of hope, as a goodbye, cowabunga, and your welcome. I loved how tranquil and chill there life down there is and I am deterined to bring this contageous attitude to the US of A.
