I have lived, worked, and traveled throughout Canada, and have been able to visit more than a few countries abroad. Depending on the time of year, you'll find me either working as a college instructor, or in the summer, working in the outdoors either canoe-expedition guiding, or just enjoying the beautiful wilderness. I enjoy checking out local low-key scenes and having a good chat over a pint. When I'm traveling I'm usually up for anything, and if you have a suggestion, I'm pretty likely to check it out.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and I like to meet people. In my opinion, there is no better way to see a city, then to meet up with a local and see the place from their perspective! Please note that I'm also fine with doing my own thing. I'm pretty independent and I don't need anyone to take me around, so if you'd rather just have a friendly and easy-going couch surfer for a night, I'm okay with that too.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'll listen to pretty much anything when it comes to music, which is to say that I don't have much of an opinion on the matter. I love to read though, and nerdy fantasy books are where my leisure time is spent.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I've canoed the Yukon River from Quiet lake near the boarder of British Columbia to the northern gold-mining capitol of Dawson City.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'm used to living out of a backpack, so I don't need much. I love to story-tell, and I'm happy to entertain you and your flatmates, listen to your own stories, or just generally hang out. If you're interested in seeing your own city's landmarks with a tourist, I'm happy to go out together and put your home into a new light. We so often forget to enjoy the city that we live in! That being said, I'm also cool with doing my own thing, and will help pay it forward by making a meal or doing dishes; generally lending a hand around the house with whatever small chores need doing.
