CURRENT MISSION Closing the achievement gap. ABOUT ME I live on the Navajo Reservation in the small border rez town called Thoreau (pronounced "Threw"!) with my amazing fiance. We are both teachers. I teach U.S. History at Thoreau Mid School, and he teaches Government at Crownpoint High School, in Crownpoint, NM. We love living in a beautiful rural community, and we love our adopted rez dog. We also enjoy: hiking, underground music, community radio, social justice, desert plants, green chiles, traveling, beer, and books.
